With everyone's trucks nearing completion from what I understand, I was wondering if anyone was interested in making a long run somewhere. I'm thinking like 100+ miles or so. Not going at a blistering pace, just ride and keep the trucks intact. Think it would be fun to spend an entire day out driving the trucks somewhere. Not sure where we could do this, possiably have to travel to like ocotillio or something to do it. I know AJ knows that area well, maybe he could plan the route. Or if anyone has any other ideas please spit them out. I know the run from my house to Ajo would be sweet as well, but not exactly legal, but perhaps on a weekend we would be ok? Just looking to do something new, since I never really go on runs of more than like 10 miles, and we have never done something like this as a group.
Let me know your thoughts. |

The ajo run is legal depending on what time of the year you decide to run it. You need a permit, it's free at the Marine base. It's about 350 miles round trip though. I know the route and wouldn't mind doing it again. On dirt bikes, we do it in one day. It's doable in a day with prerunners, not so much with stock trucks. Happy Holidays. _________________ Don't be scared, dale madre!. |

| it would likely be easier to leave from my house as I live on 15E and 55th. We could follow that french dude around the mountain and on to Ajo. How long should that run take if nothing breaks and all goes according to plan? Figuring a decent pace, not a blistering one. |

| well i found out thers a speed limit out there its 25 in certain areas and 45 in the others. i got stoped by border partrol the other weekend out ther and they told me the rangers really enforce the speed limit so its risky if you want to go fast. but like i said right out here in wellton thers so much to drive its awesome, you should really check it out. |

| As far as I am aware, there are only 3 ranger trucks at MCAS. And I am pretty sure they don't all run at the same time. Not that I condone breaking the rules, but what can they do? Not to mention there is no way those stock trucks will ever be able to catch us. But, if we have TCFG with us we might be ok, as he knows alternate routes and such. |
